Ship Equipment
description

The Emergency Towing System(ETS)is mandatory deck equipment for tankers, chemical tankers, LPG & LNG carriers above 20,000 DWT, strictly complying with SOLAS Regulation II-1/3-4 and IMO MSC.3563) requirements .

It enables rapid connection of towing lines when the vessel suffers blackout, loss of steering or engine breakdown. The stricken ship can be towed away from coastal waters, reefs and busy shipping lanes to avoid grounding, oil spillage and major maritime pollution risks.

Our complete ETS includes foredeck and aft-deck sets, ready for quick deployment within 15 minutes under harbour and offshore sea conditions. The whole set is widely fitted on new shipbuilding and retrofitted vessels.
